The Nevada Human Society (NHS) in Reno will be open for 36 hours straight during Pet Adoptathon 2010. The goal is to find new homes for 150 pets. Come in and find a new friend any time (literally) from 9 a.m. Saturday, May 1 until 9 p.m. Sunday, May 2. NHS is participating in a nationwide event when thousands of animal shelters are staying open to help their dogs and cats find new homes.

There will be hundreds of adult dogs and cats available for adoption at the special reduced price of $10. All animals are neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped, which is a $200 value. The public is invited to come visit with the animals and join the festivities. There will be fun for the entire family, including face painting, entertainment, and refreshments.
