International Migratory Bird Day Festival at Lake Tahoe

The International Migratory Bird Day Festival will be at Lake Tahoe’s Taylor Creek Visitor Center this Saturday, June 5, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sponsored by the U.S. Forest Service Lake Tahoe Basin Management Unit and the Tahoe Institute for Natural Science, the festival will teach visitors about migratory birds and the science involved in their management.

From 8 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., free guided bird walks will be held at Spooner Lake, Cove East Restoration Area, and Blackwood Canyon. Preregistration for these walks is required by calling Will Richardson at (530) 587-6895 or by email at will@tinsweb.org.
