2010 Green Summit in Reno

Residents, businesses, and community leaders interested in the environment and wanting to help identify how the City of Reno produces a more “green” Reno are invited to attend the Green Summit on Thursday, June 17. the 2010 Green Summit is the third such event the city had held and will help frame Reno’s priorities in the 2010-2011 Green Action Plan.

Greg Nickels, former Mayor of Seattle, will be the keynote speaker. After the report to the community and keynote speech, attendees of the 2010 Green Summit will break into three sessions lead by local experts to discuss food cooperatives and local growing; renewable energy and energy efficiency program; and green jobs and economic development.

The Summit will be at the Joe Crowley Student Union Ballroom at the University of Nevada, Reno. It will run from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and admission is free.
