Each Monday in August, Wild River Grille will host Dinner with Your Dog, an event to benefit the Nevada Humane Society. Canine companions will be welcome to join their humans from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., either inside the restaurant or out on the patio along the Riverwalk by the Truckee River.

A buck from each entrée sold for the event will be donated to the Nevada Humane Society. Diners will also be able to adopt a rubber duck for the upcoming Duck Race and Festival on Sunday, August 29, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Wingfield Park. The duck race will feature 10,000 yellow rubber duckies racing to raise money and awareness for the cause of homeless pets in our region. Adopters of the fastest ducks will win prizes.

Nevada Humane Society is located at 2825 Longley Lane in Reno and is open for pet adoptions Sunday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. For more information, call 775-856-2000 x335.
