May Center’s Forest Journey exhibit ends on August 21

There are only a few days left to experience the power of plants and the importance of forests with a visit to The Power of Plants: A Forest Journey exhibit at Washoe County’s Wilbur May Center. The Power of Plants: A Forest Journey is on display through August 21. The exhibit is open for self-guided tours between 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Wednesdays through Saturdays. Guided tours are offered at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. To make an appointment for a guided tour, call (775) 823-6501. The exhibit uses interactive museum displays and a walk through the Wilbur May Arboretum to teach all ages about the value of trees in everyday life. Admission is $5 per person.

The Wilbur D. May Museum and Arboretum are in Reno’s Rancho San Rafael Regional Park, 1595 N. Sierra Street.
