Nevada Territory Wild West Fair Coming to Reno

August 23, 2010

You’ve undoubtedly heard of the Nevada State Fair, a Reno event since 1864. This year will be no different, except for the adoption of a new name for the event and a new emphasis on Nevada’s pioneer history and heritage. It’s now the Nevada Territory Wild West Fair with new attractions like the Great American Wild West Show, the Great Basin Native American Gathering, the Comstock Civil War Re-Enactors, mountain men encampment, stage coach rides, and lots more. Lovers of the old-fashioned fair, fear not – you will see your traditional livestock events and fair competitions as usual.

The Nevada Territory Wild West Fair will run from August 25th through August 29th. The stomping grounds are at the Reno-Sparks Livestock Events Center, 1350 N. Wells Avenue in Reno. With free parking and inexpensive admission, this is a great family entertainment venue. Yee haw! See y’all at the Nevada Territory Wild West Fair.
