Celebrate “Cinco de Meow and Bow Wow” at the Nevada Humane Society

May 4, 2011

May 2 through 6, Nevada Humane Society will celebrate Cinco de Mayo with a “Cinco de Meow and Bow Wow” Adoption Promotion. You can celebrate this special season by adopting a pet at a great price. Adult cats may be adopted for $5, adult dogs may be adopted for $45 (4 months and older, excluding specially priced dogs). Kittens are available for adoption at $60. All dogs and cats are spayed and neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before being adopted. These services would normally cost over $200.

Cinco de Mayo is Spanish for the fifth of May and it’s most often a celebration of Latino culture, much as St. Patrick’s Day, Oktoberfest, and the Chinese New Year are now times that many Americans celebrate those of Irish, German, and Chinese customs, respectively.

Nevada Humane Society’s adoption center is located at 2825 Longley Lane in Reno and is open Sunday through Friday from 11:00 am until 6:30 pm and on Saturday from 10:00 am until 6:30 pm. For more information, call 775-856-2000. Consider adopting a pet today and help Washoe County stay one of the safest communities for homeless pets.
