The Girl Scouts from Cadette Troop 165 in Spanish Springs have given the Train, on Victorian Avenue in Sparks, a spring cleaning. The girls vacuumed, dusted, and polished the 100 year old business car that was recently restored by the City of Sparks and the Sparks Heritage Museum. The Train is open to the public on Saturdays and Sundays between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m. Tours are available every 45 minutes during those hours and included in the price of admission to the Museum, located at 814 Victorian Avenue. The Girl Scouts have further plans to conduct clean ups in the park areas around the Train and the Museum itself.

The Sparks Heritage Museum is located on the corner of Victorian Avenue and Pyramid Way. Hours areTuesday through Friday, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults, children under 12 are free. The museum is fully donation funded and volunteer operated as a service to the citizens of Sparks. For more information, call (775) 355-1144.
