Adoption fees for Home 4 the Holidays are $45 for adult dogs, $10 for adult cats and $30 for kittens under 4 months of age. Every dog, cat, and kitten at Nevada Humane Society is spayed or neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. These services would normally cost over $200 so this is a real holiday bargain. Senior citizens may adopt pets 6 years of old and older for free.

The community can join the fun by attending one of these holiday events at the Nevada Humane Society…

  • December 3 ā€“ Cupcake Day as bakers compete and guests sample or buy their wares; Photos with Santa Claus.
  • December 10 ā€“ Local school choirs perform holiday carols and authors sign animal-related books.
  • December 17 ā€“ In Their Paws celebrity sleepover to raise funds for the animals.

Home 4 the Holidays is a nationwide pet adoption drive now in its 13th year. It was created to get animals out of shelters and into good homes during this season of giving and love. Nevada Humane Society is one of thousands of animal shelters across the country that are participating.

Nevada Humane Society is open for adoptions 7 days a week (except for Thanksgiving and Christmas day) from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and an hour earlier at 10am on Saturdays. The adoption center is located at 2825 Longley Lane, Reno.
