Daylight Saving Time begins – spring is coming

March 9, 2012

Daylight Saving Time for 2012 begins on Sunday, March 11, at 2 a.m. To make sure you are on schedule for Sunday activities, be sure to set your clocks forward one hour on Saturday night before retiring. If you are a night owl like me, you’ll be enjoying that extra hour to get moving in the morning. The official beginning of spring is March 20, the spring equinox.

I don’t much care for this time switch business. Folks in Arizona don’t, either, and they don’t play the daylight saving game. Oh well, at least we are getting a few more minutes of light each day right now, headed for the longest day of the year on June 20, the summer solstice.
