Luck of the Irish pet adoptions at Nevada Humane Society

March 15, 2014

Legend has it that rainbows have a pot of gold at the end. In Reno, the rainbow ends at Nevada Humane Society, where a priceless treasure of adorable cats and dogs await adoption. You can adopt your very own treasure through St. Patrick’s Day on March 17. Adult cats over the age of three are free. Other adult cat adoption fees are $25, and adoption fees for adult dogs are $50. Adults are considered four months and older, and exclude specially priced pets.

“St. Patrick’s Day is about celebrating life, friends, and community. Adopted pets know they’ve struck gold when they find a loving home. They make loyal companions, and help their person lead a happier, healthier life as well,” said Vanessa Porter, Adoption Manager for Nevada Humane Society.

You don’t need a four-leaf clover to receive the luck of the Irish this St. Patrick’s Day. Adopt a pet from Nevada Humane Society and you’ll receive happiness all year long.

The Nevada Humane Society shelter, at 2825 Longley Lane in Reno, is open for adoptions every day from 11 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. For more information, call (775) 856-2000. All dogs and cats are spayed and neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before being adopted, services normally costing over $200.
