World Religions class from Washoe County Community Education

Washoe County Community Education, a collaboration between Truckee Meadows Community College (TMCC) and the Washoe County School District, is offering a class titled “World Religions” starting on Wednesday, February 4, 2015.

All are welcome to sign-up for “World Religions.” The course code number is CR155C/20487. There will be five sessions on consecutive Wednesday evenings, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Classes will be at the TMCC Meadowood Center, Room S324, 5270 Neil Road in Reno. Tuition is $169, with a discount available for seniors.

The class will include looks at Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Sikhism, Judaism, Baha’ism, Confucianism, Jainism, Shintoism, Taoism, Zoroastrianism, Native American spirituality, and atheism. Rajan Zed, a Reno Hindu religious leader, will be teaching the class, with other experts on various religions from around the region participating as guest lecturers.

Pre-registration is preferred, but walk-ins are welcome. You can pre-register online through Washoe County School District Community Education or just show up at the first class. For more information, call (775) 829-9010.
