Big September weekend around Reno

September 24, 2015

Fall is officially here, but it still feels like summer. We’ll have warm temperatures and (mostly) blue skies through the next few days, making it a fine time to get out and enjoy a number of activities and events that happen to coincide with the last weekend of September, 2015.

The big event going on is Street Vibrations Fall Rally, which pretty much takes over downtown Reno and Virginia City. However, there are plenty of other things to do for those not interested in the big motorcycle scene. Get lots of details in my “September 2015 Events and Activities in the Reno Region” article. Here are some ideas to consider…

  • National Public Lands Day
  • Genoa Candy Dance Arts & Crafts Faire
  • Truckee River Cleanup Day
  • Fall Harvest Festival at Bartley Ranch Park
  • Galena Fest at Galena Creek Visitor Center
  • Party in the Garden at Rancho San Rafael Park

Once September is history, a big roster of events await in October. Things start right away during the first weekend and culminate at the end of the month with Halloween and Nevada Day.
