Wild Winter Valentine’s Day Weekend at Animal Ark

See the Animal Ark residents in their winter coats and enjoy watching them play in their winter wonderland. The animals include a lynx, bobcats, cougars, the Arctic wolf and Arctic fox, and several other wild residents. Dress warm and please call on event day as weather conditions could cancel the festivities. This event is weather permitting. Call 1-775-970-3111 before driving out to learn about any changes.

  • When: Saturday and Sunday, February 13 and 14, 2016, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day.
  • Where: Animal Ark
  • Directions: From Reno, Highway 395 North, right on Red Rock Road, 11.5 miles, then right to 1265 Deerlodge Road.
  • Admission: $12 adults, $11 seniors (62+), $10 children 3 to 12, free for kids 2 and under.

Animal Ark is at 6,000 feet elevation, so dress for outdoor fun in various conditions, including mud and snow. Call before coming – severe weather or unsafe facility conditions will cancel the event.
