Free Family Health Festival in Reno

Truckee Meadows Healthy Communities (TMHC) and several other local partners will host a Family Health Festival bringing free and low-cost services to those in need. This festival will also feature a free Teen Health Clinic. Both events will be on Monday, February 29, 2016, at Wooster High School, 1331 E. Plumb Lane in Reno.

The Family Health Festival is free to all and will include healthy cooking tips, Test Your Health Know-How, a book drive and a variety of free services. Free services will include flu vaccinations, dental fluoride treatments, the Food Bank’s mobile pantry, health screenings for kids and adults, DACA & Immigration support, job application and resume help, SNAP assistance, and Head Start/affordable day care registration. The Family Health Festival is part of TMHC’s continued efforts to work with local organizations to improve community health by focusing on food access, employment, affordable housing, and healthcare access and education.

The Family Health Festival will be from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. The Teen Health Clinic will run from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. For more information, call (775) 815-4121.
