The Horse – new exhibit at the Nevada Museum of Art

“The Horse” is a new exhibit at the Nevada Museum of Art in Reno. This comprehensive exhibition details the enduring bond between horses and humanity and explores early interactions between horses and humans. It portrays how horses have influenced civilization through advancements in warfare, trade, transportation, agriculture, sports, and many other facets of human life. The multi-media exhibit explores our history, inter-dependence, and emotional connection with this remarkable animal.

“The Horse” will be at the Nevada Museum of Art from March 5 through July 3, 2016. On March 12, the theme of “Hands ON! Second Saturdays” will be “Horsing Around” and feature activities related to this exhibit. There will be many other related programs and events as well. The Nevada Museum of Art is located at 160 West Liberty Street in downtown Reno.
