April 2016 Events and Activities Around Reno

March 31, 2016

There are numerous April events and activities to liven things up around the Reno / Tahoe area.

The big event this month is Reno Earth Day on Sunday, April 24, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Admission is free to this family-friendly event at Idlewild Park.

The Reno Aces open the baseball season at Aces Ballpark with a game against the El Paso Chihuahuas on Thursday, April 7. It will be an 8 game home stand, with the last 4 games against the Albuquerque Isotopes.

You will soon run out of time to visit “Sssnakes Alive!” at the Wilbur D. May Museum in Rancho San Rafael Park. Crawl on over by April 10 to experience this great exhibit.

Other activities include Reno’s monthly wine walk, a couple of beer crawls, a free admission day with family activities at the Nevada Museum of Art, the Reno Jazz Festival, and shows at the Pioneer Center. You can volunteer to help improve the community at a couple of events, including the Great Community Cleanup sponsored by KTMB. Refer to my “April 2016 Events and Activities in the Reno Region” article for a rundown of some of the top things to do during April, 2016.
