Free days at our National Parks

April 12, 2016

Just about everyone likes to visit our national parks and it’s even better when getting in is free. During National Park Week, April 16 – 24, 2016, admission to all units administered by the National Park Service is free. Other fees, like camping, will still apply.

Fortunately for us in the Reno area, we have several national parks that aren’t too far away. These include Lassen Volcanic National Park, Yosemite National Park, Death Valley National Park, and Great Basin National Park, the only one totally within Nevada.

Other public lands agencies also have free days during 2016. These include the Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Forest Service, and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service. Go to “Free Days to Visit National Parks and Public Lands” for more details on when you can save on admission fees when visiting your public lands.
