2016 Reno Veterans Day Parade

Reno’s annual Veterans Day Parade for 2016 takes place on Friday, November 11. This is a huge event attended by thousands of people and marches along Virginia Street through the heart of downtown Reno. If you want to set up your chairs in a good viewing spot, get there early to stake out your space.

Parade opening ceremonies are traditionally at 11:11 a.m. and will be at the new Virginia Street Bridge. The parade gets under way at about 11:20 a.m. Participants include veterans and active military groups, high school marching bands and ROTC units, civic organizations, and patriotic citizens. The parade flows north on Virginia Street, marches under the Reno Arch and ends at 5th Street. Duration is approximately two hours.

This being the biggest Veterans Day event in Nevada, there are usually numerous local and state politicians and civic leaders in attendance.
