“Toytopia” at the Wilbur D. May Museum

Everyone loves toys, and that includes grown-ups. All ages are welcome to enjoy “Toytopia,” the new exhibit at the Wilbur D. May Museum. The exhibit is inspirational for children and adults can revisit fun times from childhood. You’ll learn about where toys came from, who made them, why some have become collector’s items, and much more. It will be open from January 21 through April 16, 2017.

“Toytopia” isn’t just for looking. This is a hands-on adventure where you can play with the toys and try them out. There are exhibits from toymakers like Hasbro®, Duncan Yo-Yo®, Schleich®, Breyer®, Crayola®, KNEX® (Lincoln Logs®) and more. There are several special exhibits, including a LEGO play area and building wall, life-size walk-through doll house, blanket fort builder, the world’s largest Etch-A-Sketch, and a retro arcade with classic games.

Admission to “Toytopia” is $9 for adults, $8 for children (3 to 17) and seniors. Kids under 3 are free. For more information, call (775) 785-5961. The Wilbur D. May Museum is in Rancho San Rafael Regional Park at 1595 N. Sierra Street.
