Free classes about gardening in the Reno area

February 5, 2017

Learn how to grow fruit, vegetables and other plants in northern Nevada from a series of free classes at Bartley Ranch Regional Park titled “Gardening in Nevada: The Bartley Ranch Series.” The series is brought to you by the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension (UNCE).

At these classes, you will be able to profit from the experience of local experts who know how to bring forth vegetables and other plants from our Great Basin climate and soil. They will be taught by UNCE horticulturists and experts, and Cooperative Extension’s certified Master Gardener volunteers.

The gardening class series will be every Tuesday evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. during February and March, 2017. The first, on February 7, is titled “Selecting and Caring for Fruit Trees.”

Bartley Ranch Regional Park is at 6000 Bartley Ranch Road in south Reno. For more information, call UNCE at (775) 784-4848.
