Spring Break for Washoe County School District
March 12, 2017
Spring break 2017 at the Washoe County School District is from March 20 through March 31. The kids will be out of school for two weeks and two weekends. Now is the time to sign up for any of the many activities available to fill the time in fun and productive ways.
For example, if you haven’t been to “Toytopia at the Wilbur D. May Museum” in Reno, this will be a good time to take in the exhibit. It runs through April 16, 2017.
Numerous spring break camps will be open, including Spring Break Camp at the Discovery, Vacation Station at the City of Reno, Spring Break Exploration Camp by Great Basin Naturalists at Galena, University Spring Break Camps from UNR Extended Studies, and several more. Check these out soon – many are popular and have limited enrollment.
Another fun thing to do is “Ride the Idlewild Park Train,” which will be running daily during spring break.
If sports are your thing, you can take the family to the final few Reno Bighorns basketball home games at the Reno Events Center during spring break.
