Family fun at the 2017 Nevada State Fair

June 5, 2017

The 2017 Nevada State Fair will be at Mills Park in Carson City from Thursday through Sunday, June 8 to 11. Starting with last year’s Nevada State Fair, the venue has moved from its historic location in Reno.

This is a new, updated version of the Nevada State Fair. After running continuously since 1874, the Great Recession and financial woes brought the event to an end after its 2010 run. A new non-profit company with the purpose of carrying on the tradition was formed in 2013 so we can again enjoy the down-home fun of the Nevada State Fair.

The whole array of family-friendly activities and events fairgoers like will be at the Nevada State Fair, including the midway and carnival rides, lots of entertainment, contests, and more. There is no entry fee and parking is free at Carson High School. However, tickets are required for the midway carnival rides, games, and food.

  • Midway of fun and carnival rides
  • Big variety of contests
  • Main Stage entertainment
  • Car Show
  • Wild West Wine Run steam train ride on the V&T Railroad
  • Rendezvous – Wild West theme
  • Agriculture and livestock
  • County Exhibit Pavilion featuring each of Nevada’s 17 counties
