Historic Reno Preservation Society free presentations
October 2, 2019
You can attend free presentations from the Historic Reno Preservation Society to learn about how and why Reno and northern Nevada got to where we are today.
The 2019 series continues on Sunday, October 6 with “Alexander von Humboldt — The Forgotten Scientist,” which will explore why there are so many places in Nevada named Humboldt. The talk will be at the Downtown Reno Library, 301 S. Center Street, Reno. Presented by David vonSeggern, it will start at 12:30 p.m. A second program this month will be “The Saga of the Alfred Doten Diaries” at the Northwest Reno Library, 2325 Robb Drive, Reno. Presented by Donnelyn Curtis, it will be on Wednesday, October 16 at 5:30 p.m.
There are a variety of other upcoming programs. Be sure to check my “Free history presentations from Historic Reno Preservation Society” article for times and locations.
