Washoe County Library System expands services at most locations

May 4, 2021

Most locations of the Washoe County Library System will once again offer browsing and computer access. Beginning Monday, May 3, 2021, you will be able to browse library collections and displays, pick up holds, and use public computers and printers.

Services will be expanded at all branches except the Duncan/Traner, Senior Center, and Verdi libraries, all of which will remain closed, and the North Valleys library, which will maintain its current hours and services. Not all services will be available at all locations or during all hours – check the Library website for more details.

All Library visitors are required to wear face coverings if over the age of two. Due to limited occupancy and concern for public and staff safety, the Library is encouraging patrons to make visits as brief as possible – no more than 60 minutes.

The library’s digital collection is always available. Resources include digital magazines, audiobooks, and ebooks. You can also check out a variety of virtual events, galleries and story times. Find out more about these at “Free Events and Programs at Washoe County Libraries.”
