Learn about gardening in Nevada – for free
January 28, 2023
Learn how to grow fruit, vegetables and other plants in northern Nevada from a series of free classes at Bartley Ranch Regional Park titled “Gardening in Nevada: The Bartley Ranch Series,” brought to you by the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension (UNCE).
These free classes enable you to enjoy the experience of local experts who know how to grow vegetables and other plants in our Great Basin climate and soil. They will be taught by UNCE horticulturists and experts, and Cooperative Extension’s certified Master Gardener volunteers.
The gardening class series will be every Tuesday evening 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. during February and March, 2023. Meet in the Western Heritage Interpretive Center at Bartley Ranch. The first class is on February 7 and features Michael Janik talking about “Fruit Tree Selection.”
