Reno Arch getting a facelift

February 20, 2018

The Reno Arch is getting a facelift. The world famous downtown Reno structure will soon sport a more modern look, taking on the more Nevada-like colors of silver and blue. It will get silver (well, stainless steel) cladding on the supports holding the arch up across Virginia Street and updates to the electrical components.

While work is in progress, Virginia Street around the arch will have various closures and detours. Scheduled completion of the work is April 30, 2018. The city is planning an unveiling after the project is finished, though no details are available at this time.
