Super Bowl 55 parties in Reno, Nevada
There will be big parties all over the Reno / Sparks area for 2021’s Super Bowl LV (55). Sports fans will have numerous Super Bowl Sunday parties from which to choose, with food, drink, contests, and giveaways designed to entice Super Bowl LV fans.

Super Bowl LV on Sunday, February 7, will feature the Kansas City Chieft vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers. This year’s Super Bowl will be played at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL. Kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Reno time. Doors at the Super Bowl parties usually open a hour or so earlier.

Should you be the betting type, you can wager on the game at most casinos in town, which is handy since that is where most of the big parties will be. There are a whole bunch of other bets you can play besides just the ultimate winner.

The City of Reno Parks and Recreation Department offers a wide range of inclusive / adaptive programs and activities, including sport leagues, programs for veterans, rentals and volunteer opportunities. The goal is to provide accommodations to people with disabilities so that full participation in leisure and recreation programs, classes, services and facilities may be enjoyed by all.

In the spirit of access for all, the new Jennifer M. O’Neal Community Ice Arena is offering a free clinic where participants with physical disabilities will get a change to learn about sled hockey and get on the ice. All equipment and on-ice instruction provided. The session will be on Saturday, February 6, 2021, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The ice arena is at 15500 Wedge Parkway in south Reno.

The ice skating rink that has been open during the winter for many years at various Reno locations is not operating during the 2020-2021 season. All is not lost, however, as the Ice Skating Rink at Grand Sierra Resort is up and running this winter. There are 5 sessions per day through February 28, 2021. This rink is open to the public.

A second Reno ice rink is almost ready to open, and may be in operation by the time you read this. Reno Ice has partnered with the City of Reno to bring residents a free public skate session once per week (limited to 50 people per session) once the facility opens.
